Storm Eowyn caused damage in Elm Park last night and unfortunately our dome was ripped. The good news is that the dome structure is undamaged.
It is important to tell you that all advice to protect the dome in a storm was followed and other domes following the same advice did survive. The insurance company will have to do a full inspection but, at the moment, it is believed that something hit the skin and burst it.
Everything that can be done will be done to get this repaired as quickly as possible, but realistically we are going to be without our courts for the next few weeks anyway.
Good luck to all our league teams who start their league campaigns this Sunday. Please bear with us as we will need to ask members to vacate outside courts to free up enough courts for Elm Park's matches.
It is disappointing but it won't stop us playing tennis. We will keep you up to date with any news that we get.
