A reminder that the closing date for the Adult Singles Internal League Round Robins is Monday 26th April. Please register in the link below by this date.
We are very much looking forward to tennis commencing on Monday 26th April and look forward to seeing members on the courts again.
Although at this present time only selective tennis activities can take place until further notice from Tennis Ireland, we have been informed that we can organise Internal Singles Round Robins with all protocols been adhered to.
We plan on running the Singles Internal League Round Robins over the Summer months which will commence on Monday 3rd May and will run over a 6-week period.
Round robins are where players of similar standards are put into groups of 4 players and play each other over a period of 6 weeks.
They are open to all adult tennis members and junior tennis members born in 2006 or earlier of every standard whether league or non-league standard players. All new members are welcome – it is a great way to meet club members and enjoy your tennis.
After the 6 weeks, a new round will commence where players will move up and down boxes depending on how they have done. The two players who get the highest number of points move up a group and the two lowest move down a group
Players must arrange their own matches and can play anytime day/time within the 6-week time frame. Matches will be 12 games, short deuce, followed by a tie-break, to be completed within a 1-hour time frame with the results been final after the 1 hour if not all games/tie-break have been completed.
