Following on from the email of the Term 3 details of the Junior Coaching email, please also see details below about the fantastic "Elm Park Junior Tennis Coaching Programme" run by our two top class tennis coaches, Rob Cherry and Victoria Gaidau.
Coaching Mission:
Our coaching mission at Elm Park is to encourage “Tennis for life”. Tennis has many health benefits, is social, fun and gives players many skills. We provide tennis coaching for all ages and abilities through mini tennis, development lessons and performance lessons. This is achieved through highly qualified and experienced coaches providing a mixture of fun games, match practice, technical, tactical, mental and physical exercises in an enjoyable environment.
Junior Coaching Programme Sample Lesson Plans:
You can view the brilliant 32 week lesson plans for all the groups in the link below, compiled by our Tennis Professional, Rob Cherry with the help of Club Coach Victoria Gaidau. Rob has achieved the highest possible International Tennis Federation and Tennis Ireland Coaching Qualification which is Level 4 and between our two coaches, they have over 30 years coaching experience!!! A huge amount of effort has gone into these so you can see what exercises are run and that the coaches have a plan for the lessons.
