An Information meeting will be held in Elm Park Golf & Sports Club, Thursday 7th April at 7.00 pm for all Junior Tennis and Junior All-sports Members and their Parents.
The meeting will provide an overview of all tennis activities and for Junior Members for the calendar year 2022.
Tennis Professional , Rob Cherry and Club Coach Victoria Gaidau will give a presentation on the following:
** Objectives of the Junior Coaching Programme
** Video of some drills, fun games we do at Coaching
** Sample Lesson Structures (breakdown of lesson e.g. 1hr Mini Tennis Lesson)
** Report Card Templates sent out at end of Term 1 and Term 3
** How to make the most out of the coaching e.g. practice wall, play matches (ladders, boxes), ball machine etc.
** Lesson Plan Spreadsheet for 32 weeks (showing the structure plan of coaching sessions)
** Explanation of Ladders and Boxes
** Junior practice partner initiative
** Pathway onto adult league teams
Jonathan McKeown ( Junior Liaison Officer) along with the parent’s committee will give you an update on their plans for 2022. A copy of our calendar of events will also be available on the evening.
You will also get an opportunity to meet the New Junior Captains Anna Henry and Andy King along with their committee.
