Dear Member,
Summer League starts on 6th / 7th May 2022 for the Men's teams and the 9th / 10th / 11th May for the Ladies teams. Teams consist of 7 players, 3 singles and 2 doubles pairings.
Junior players born in 2007 or before are eligible to play.
On 1st March, we must register the number of teams we are entering and therefore we need to gauge members interest in playing for EP in Summer league, as how many teams we enter depends on member’s responses.
The Format for Summer League is 7 players per team, divided into 3 singles and 2 doubles pairings.
The men’s matches are at 2pm or 3.30pm on a Saturday with the exception of the first team which may have matches at 7.30pm on a Friday.
We aim to enter Men’s teams in Class 2, 3, 4 & 7
The ladies matches are on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday evening at 7.30pm. The first team would usually have their matches on a Wednesday evening.
We aim to enter Ladies teams in Class 2, 5 & 7
The Men’s and Ladies teams entered will be based on commitment / availability of players.
The teams need at least three good singles players to have a team that can successfully represent EP, so the more singles players we have, the more teams we can field (and vice versa).
