We hope you all had a lovely break and the children are settling back into school and their after school activities.
We have a range of upcoming events happening across the various age groups over the next few weeks and year ahead.
We will be sending out the Junior Calendar shortly with all the junior activites, which includes Junior coaching, Tennis camps. Leagues, Stars & Stripes, Social events, Championships and Supervised tennis
Below is information on the three upcoming events that we need juniors to sign up for by the specified dates on each notice.

U14 Stars & Stripes 2023
The U14 Stars & Stripes will be commencing on Saturday 28th January at 5pm.This is our 10th year running the competition and it has been very successful to date.
There are a total of 10 local clubs in the competition. The clubs are grouped into two round robin groups where matches are played over the course of 5 weeks.The top 2 clubs in each group go into a Cup Semi final and 3rd & 4th place clubs go into a Shield Semi Final.
The Stars & Stripes is a great competition to participate in where the juniors will gain experience playing with other clubs, making friends and have great fun.
There are 8 players per team ( 4 boys & 4 girls) with the following format
** 2 x boys singles
** 1 x boys doubles
** 2 x girls singles
** 1 x girls doubles
Players born in 2009 & 2010 and U12 players born in 2011 can enter. We will have a team panel for both the boys and girls so that everyone who is interested in participating can get a turn in playing the Stars & Stripes.
Dates for U14 Stars & Stripes Saturday matches are the following with matches starting at 5pm.
January 28th
February 4th, 11th, 25th
March 4th, 11th, 25th

U12 & U18 Leinster Junior League 2023
The U12 & U18 Junior Leagues will be commencing on Sunday 5th March with finals on Sunday 28th May.
The U12 & U18 Junior League Team have to be registered by Monday 13th February 2023.
There are 7 events in total for each age group, grouped as follows for the different age categories:
Under 12 Summer League
Class 1 (boys & girls)
Class 2 (boys & girls)
Class 3 (boys & girls) & a mixed team
Class 4 (mixed)
U12 Format for Class 1,2 & 3 has teams of 6 players playing three doubles matches.
U12 Format for Class 3 mixed, has a mixed class team of 6 players playing 1 boys doubles, 1 girls doubles and 1 mixed doubles.
U12 Format for Class 4 mixed, has a mixed class team of 4 players playing 1 boys doubles and 1 girls doubles.
Players born in 2011 or 2012 can enter. Players born in 2013 that have a yellow Tennis Ireland passport are eligible to play Class 1 or 2 only.
Under 18 Summer League
Class 1 (boys & girls)

Class 4 (Mixed)
U18 Format for Class 1,2 & 3 has teams of 4 players playing two singles and one doubles matches.
U18 Format for Class 4 mixed, has a mixed team of 4 players (2 boys and 2 girls) playing one boys and one girls doubles.
Players born in 2005 - 2008 can enter. U14 players who would like to be considered to play in the U18’s can also register their interest ( 2009 & 2010)

The U12 & U18 matches start either at 4pm or 5pm. Times are not confirmed yet.

Spring Junior Doubles Internal Round Robins
The Spring Junior Doubles Internal Round Robins will be starting up on Monday 30th January and will run for 6 weeks to Sunday 12th March.
There is a round robin age group for:
U9/10
- Year born 2013 - 2015
U12
- Year born 2011 & 2012
U14
- Year born 2009 & 2010
U18
- Year born 2008 - 2005
This year we have decided to run the round robins in a doubles format as the DLTC and Leinster leagues are played as doubles for the U12’s and U14’s and a singles and doubles format for the U18’s.
All levels and new junior members are welcome to play in the round robins which are a great way for the juniors to meet junior members, make friends and enjoy their tennis. They are also a great pathway to identify pairings for juniors to represent Elm Park in Leagues and tournaments.
If your child does not have a partner we will endeavor to partner them up with a player of similar level.

Players must arrange their own matches and can play anytime day/time within the 6 week time frame. Matches will be 12 games, short deuce, followed by a tie-break, to be completed within a 1-hour time frame with the results being final after the 1 hour if not all games/tie-break have been completed.
