Dear Member,
At the AGM of Tennis Ireland last night, Elm Park club member John Ryan was elected as President of Tennis Ireland for a two year term.
As you know John is a past Captain of Elm Park Tennis Club, plays on our representative teams, and has been a frequent participant at Adult Social Tennis events in the club over the years.
John spent years serving on the Tennis Ireland Leinster Branch committee before being nominated for the role of President. John is the first Elm Park member to be President of Tennis Ireland or its predecessor, the Irish Lawn Tennis Club.
John will be a very popular and effective President of our National Body.
On behalf of all our tennis members, our Tennis Lady Captain Caroine, and our tennis committee I wish to recognise John's achievement last night, and offer the support of Elm Park Tennis Club during his two year tenure.
John has brought much honour to Elm Park and his new National position will increase the interest and expectations of the club within the wider tennis community in Ireland.
John,well done again and we all look forward to meeting you in the green jacket in Elm Park !
